What Size Grow Light Bar Fits a 24-Inch Plant Shelf?

A nominal size label is only a starting point. Two fixtures sold in the same broad size class can have different published body lengths, so the purchase decision should come after measurement rather than before it.

The fast rule: measure the clear span, then check the exact fixture

Measure the usable horizontal line under the shelf above the plants. Do not rely only on the outside width of the furniture.

Record where the fixture would actually live. Note any upright, side panel, bracket, shelf lip, bolt head, cable channel, or other obstruction that reduces the usable line.
